Uncover Your Hidden Talent: Leveraging Employee Resource
Groups to Engage the Workforce

Raleigh, NC – April 12, 2011 The Raleigh-Wake Human Resource Management Association (RWHRMA) Diversity Committee has selected the theme “Building Diversity and Inclusion into Your Organization's Culture” for the 2011 Diversity and Inclusion Forums. The first forum will be:

“Uncovering Your Hidden Talent: Leveraging Employee Resource Groups to Engage The Workforce"

Today more than ever, diversity and HR leaders have to think of unique ways of supporting and uncovering the hidden talents that may exist in organizations. All too often the hidden talents of people with disabilities are overlooked by those who tend to focus on the “DIS” and not the “A”bility of this sector of the workforce.

TIME: 8:00 am Registration, 7 Coffee /8:30 am - 10:30 am Program

The program will be introduced by Mel Ashbury, SHRM National Board Member, who will share his expertise on the pros and cons of ERGs. Another speaker will be Ping Holt, Founder and President of the Progress Inclusion & Disability Education Employee Network Group (PRIDE) at Progress Energy. Ms. Holt is a certified Project Manager (PMP) and a four time marathoner. LaTonya King, Progress Energy Manager of Corporate Diversity & Inclusion and EEO, will join Ms. Holt and provide insights and recommendations for connecting PRIDE and other ERGs to the corporate diversity & inclusion program.
