Young Auditorium Bringing National Touring Concert: The McCartney Years

WHITEWATER – The McCartney Years is ready to entertain audiences at Young Auditorium in Whitewater on Thursday, October 9th at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy three decades of “The Beatles” and “Wings” music – live – with the world’s premier McCartney concert experience. Led by front man Yuri Pool as Sir Paul, the band has a commitment to 100 percent live and accurate reproductions of a Paul McCartney concert experience. The show is period-true, technically stunning and sonically explosive. Every note is live and played true to its original arrangement.

The McCartney Years is a show that plays tribute to Paul McCartney’s music from The Beatles to the heydays of Wings. The era covers over 20 hit albums between 1962 and 1980. What sets The McCartney Years apart is that the band portrays McCartney at the height of his career in the mid-1970s. During that time, Paul McCartney toured extensively and played numerous Beatles hits as well as songs from his career in Wings, which are now classics like “Band on the Run,” “Live and Let Die” and many more.

The band is praised by Beatles promoter Sid Bernstein (the man who brought the original Beatles to

North America) as the “best on the scene today.” Rewind into the 60s and 70s to relive your passion for Paul McCartney with a band that has opened for Mariah Carey, performs sold-out shows across Canada, the USA and Europe and has been featured on CNN, CBC and CTV.

The McCartney Years players include Yuri Pool as Sir Paul McCartney (lead vocals, bass, guitar and piano), Laura Gagnon as Linda McCartney (backing vocals, keyboards, percussion), David Usselman as Denny Laine (backing vocals, guitar, percussion), Hubert Orlowski (backing vocals), and Dean McKey as Joe English (drums).

Ticket prices range between $19.50-$30.50 for this performance (FREE for UW-Whitewater students). Tickets for any show can be purchased online, by calling the Box Office at (262) 472-2222, or in person. New this year, tickets that are purchased online can also be printed at home.
