Role Description
This role is a 12 month Industrial Placement within our Asda Product Team and will form part of your university under graduate degree. The Asda Brand Product Team play a key role in the development, improvement and quality maintenance of our own label products, systems and supply base. A passion for food is a must.
Role Responsibilities
As a placement student in this role you will undertake specific projects to deliver the category strategy. You will have responsibility for supporting the development and maintenance of Asda brand products. You will be responsible for undertaking specific innovation, complaints management and benchmarking projects to introduce product evaluation. Provide support to the Marketing and PR teams, via workshops and support the Nutrition team by writing, researching and communicating to customers. You will also gain experience in producing both regular and ad-hoc reports for stakeholders within Asda, from the marketing function to senior managers.
Role Requirements
We are looking for an under graduate who is passionate about a career in food. You should have excellent communication skills, be a strong team player and be quality focused with an eye for detail. You should also be able to provide evidence of organising & prioritising workloads.
This should qualify as your university industrial placement and you should be on target for a 2.1 Honours degree ideally in Food Science/Nutrition/Technology (or related) to apply.
