실용영어회화2 STUDENTS: There will be a speaking interview in the final test. Make sure you know how to answer questions from the list that is after the mistake correction section.

IMPORTANT NOTE 1: The mistakes and correct sentences for the 초급영작문 and 실용영어 and실용영어 2 are all done. Make sure to study these for the final test.

IMPORTANT NOTE 2: I will give you 5 bonus points on the FINAL test if you bring me your midterm tests, old homework and especially free writing (like diaries, culture differences report, being 16, logical fallacies, presentations, game reports, TV Show/lecture reports, etc.)

REVIEW THE MIDTERM: Most questions from the 1st half of the class will be questions that were on the midterm, so make sure you know how to answer those questions well.

TEXTBOOK: Know Dr. Palmers book up to page 50 (mostly pg 37-50) and Journeys handouts from class on introducing yourself, describing people/childhood, fears, dreams, accidents, etc. and how to write short essays on similar topics.

GRAMMAR: Know how to translate these grammar structures from English to Korean and how to make English questions and answers from them.

TEXTBOOK: Know Top Notch chapters 1-4,6,7

GRAMMAR: Know how to translate these from English to Korean and how to make English questions and answers from them. Be ready also for a speed test using these grammar structures.

REVIEW FROM 1st ½ OF CLASS (esp. from the midterm): tag questions, modals, passives from 1st half and esp. the midterm

KNOW NEW GRAMMAR (from Top Notch and handouts): future in the past (was going to), perfect modals, indirect speech and noun clauses

READINGS:

· “Culture differences” (esp. page 3 about weird cultural differences and how we can determine which customs are immoral and which are just different)

· “Men Who Changed the World”

· Being Tremendous reading
