International Student Letter Request Forms

If you are a current or incoming international student at the University of Richmond who needs a letter from the Office of International Education, please complete and submit the form(s) below that meet(s) your needs.

► Please allow five (5) business days for your request to be processed. We will email you when your letter is available for pick-up in the International Student Pick-up Box in Puryear’s hallway. Where applicable, if you are not in Richmond we will mail the letter to the address you provide on your request form.

► Deadlines for letter requests:

Verification of Status Letter – December 1st (fall semester) and May 1st (spring semester)

On-Campus Employment Letters – At least one (1) week before your scheduled first day of employment.

Verification of Health Insurance Letter – Please allow five (5) days for processing, plus mailing time (if applicable).

Family Invitation Letter – Do not submit request until relatives’ travel plans are finalized!

Current Students On Campus: April 1st if needed for graduation attendance. For other visit purposes, December 1st (fall semester) and May 1st (spring semester). Please allow five (5) days for processing, plus mailing time (if applicable).

New Students OR Current Students Who Are Not On Campus: Please allow five (5) days for processing, plus mailing time.

NOTE: Letter requests submitted after the above deadlines will not be processed.

Please fill out the form below and email it to or return it to the Office of International Education, Puryear Hall, 1st Floor.
