Opening
· President Kelly Pischke called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m.
· Donna Eastman opened with devotions.
Reports:
Secretary’s Report:
· Action: Motion/Second/Pass – Approved the June Report with one name change
Treasurer’s Report:
· Action: Motion/Second/Pass – Approved the June Report as is
o We had a net income and are up from last year on the bottom line
o On track with Benevolence Payments
o Obligations not yet transferred / Simply Giving by end of June not transferred but was done by time of meeting so says 0 but should be $6101
o Simply giving advantage is that there is periodic, random online giving that happens
o
Pastor / Staff Reports:
· No questions on reports
· Gladys verbally updated us on the mission trip highs and lows
· Marsha and Diane are going to a conference on Dealing with Difficult People
Ministry Teams:
· Church in the World (Jan and Kent)
o Tabor update by Pr. Paul
· Congregational Life (Deb and Sue)
o Sept 7 SS Extravaganza / Name Tag Sunday
o New member calls – following up with them next month
o Thinking of a 10-30 second clip of each team stating who you are and what you do, up to 3 points of the purpose of your team, prepare in August and at Sept meeting we would record
o Suggest that each ministry team member have name tags to wear when you are here with your ministry team name – Ask me about . . .
o Aug 10 ice cream with sprinkles after service
o Spiritual gift survey to be passed out while people are waiting to have pictures taken
· Discipleship (Steve and Donna)
o Schedule for Did you Know Series
o July 20 Social media in church
o July 27 mission trip Sunday
o Aug 3 treats in park
o Faith life camp plans discussed
o Fall extravaganza being planned
o New bible study groups starting
o Faith in Action Service – work in progress

Management (Exec Committee)
o Discussed financials
o Personnel Committee status update, committee is meeting tomorrow to discuss again how to recast the net to fill the Administrative Assistant Position
o Community meal in October, thinking Taco in a Bag
o Parking lot patched, possible to use insurance tax credit towards a better repaving
o Couple windows being repaired
o Spiritual Formation (Erika and Jessica, Wendy)
o Extravaganza ideas FLCW to do cake walk, Cong Life to help with Food, game ideas, SS / Parent Orientation during SS hour, Looking for supervision for different areas and activities
o Sunday School Teachers – calling some new members and checking with them also note in bulletin
o Treats on Mission trip Sunday
o Aug 3 Serve meal – may need more help
o Worship (Jeff and Dennis)
o Would like a new cart for outdoor worship – hoping to take care of that this week
o A Thank you to Jeff / Kevin / Hjerpe’s for outdoor help
o Working on fall campfire plans
Old Business
1. Personnel Committee Update - Above
2. Capital Campaign Update – Vision Team meeting, looking at theme of Imagine; talking with a videographer, looking at how to get info out to congregation, encouraging estate gifts, logos to work with, 6 week series on Imagine starting Sept 7th and followed by Campaign kick off
3. Small Group Committee – Starting a couple of groups and branching off of them
New Business
1. Pictorial Directory – Diane
- 24 families signed up so far – need people to host for some dates yet
2. Review Mission Trip – Glady’s, Dave, Wendy - above
3. Faith Life Camp Update – 38 people signed up so far and that includes staff, going to push to get that number up – goal is to triple
