Your Pearson products and Internet Explorer 8
In our testing, we have found almost all Pearson products to be fully functional in IE 8, either natively or using the IE 8 “Compatibility View” option. All CourseCompass courses, for example, will work without any modification to the browser settings. If you are using an XL-powered CourseCompass course, however, such as MyMathLab or MyAccountingLab, IE 8 will automatically render certain pages in Compatibility View mode, which replicates the IE 7 browser within IE 8. In rare cases, with other Pearson online products, you will be asked to use an alternate browser, such as IE 7 or Firefox, both of which are fully supported.
If my site has compatibility issues in Internet Explorer 8, what can I do?
If your product's site is experiencing issues in IE 8, you may choose to make IE8 emulate IE 7 for that site.
1. Choose Compatibility View from the Tools menu.
If Compatibility View has already been chosen, Compatibility View is checked.
2. To change back to IE 8, click Tools/Compatibility View again.
Adding and removing sites from Compatibility View
You may want a site to always open in Compatibility View.
1. Navigate to the site.
2. Choose Compatibility View Settings from the Tools menu.
You will see the Compatibility View Settings popup window. The name of your current site is highlighted in the Add this website field.
3. Click Add and Close to add the highlighted site.
The page will redisplay in Compatibility Mode.
To remove a site from Compatibility View Settings.
1. Highlight its name in the field Websites you've added to Compatibility View.
2. Click Remove and Close to remove the highlighted site.
The page will redisplay in standard IE 8 mode.

MyLabs and 64-bit Processors
How can I use a 64-bit operating system with a Pearson web site?
Unless the system requirementsspecify otherwise, ourweb sitesrequire a 32-bit browser. Most 64-bit operating systems use a 64-bit browser by default, which can cause problems when using some web sites.
To determine whether you are using a 32-bit or 64-bit browser, please see the following link: http://247pearsoned.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8475 .
32-bit versions of commonly supported browsers can be found at the addresses below:
