August 1, 2012 ***Extremely Urgent and Important***

Dear Nampa School District Parent,

I can’t believe that summer has passed and it is time to begin another school year. I hope you and your family had an enjoyable summer. We look forward to seeing your child again and providing them with a safe and meaningful educational experience.

The Nampa School District makes every effort to ensure that our school buildings and campuses are safe. When children are at school, occasional injuries do occur, particularly when children participate in activities such as recess, P.E., team sports, and professional technical programs. It is important to know that the Nampa School District does not provide medical insurance coverage for students. This means that in the event your child is injured at school or during a school activity, you are responsible for any and all medical care expenses that your child incurs.

With the rising cost of medical care today, it is important that you have medical insurance coverage for your child. If your child is not covered under your family medical insurance policy, or if you do not have medical insurance coverage for your family, there are low-cost medical insurance options available for your child. K & K Insurance Group, Inc. offers a variety of affordable student accident insurance plans to meet your needs.

Attached is an information sheet that outlines the student accident insurance plans offered by

K & K Insurance. If you are interested in purchasing a student accident insurance plan for your child, simply enroll online at www.studentinsurance-kk.com.

If you have any questions about the student accident insurance program, please contact K & K Insurance directly at (855) 742-3135. You may also choose to seek out other providers of student accident insurance on your own. The State of Idaho also provides assistance for families in need to buy medical insurance for qualifying children. For more information on these programs contact the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare by dialing 211 or visit their website at www.idahochild.org.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter!

Sincerely,

Dr. Joshua D. Jensen
