Position Description

Job Title: Jr Project Manager, Trainer

Department: Professional Services

Reports To: Manager of Implementation Services

JOB SUMMARY

Supports Sr Project Managers and Customers with implementation tasks to ensure a smooth and timely transition through all project milestones to production. Maintains expert level proficiency on all ExecuTime application modules. Conducts and transfers system knowledge to end users in classroom and remote environment. Creates and maintains course materials. Must be comfortable presenting to all levels of an organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

Training

·  Assesses individual/group training needs and tailors presentation of materials accordingly

·  Plans, prepares and delivers written training objectives and milestones to customers

·  Spends contact time directly with customers assessing and recommending training needs

·  Provides in-depth application training both remote and onsite for customer end users

·  Maintains accurate and up-to-date list of action items discovered during training

·  Prepares and maintains training materials on all ExecuTime modules, continuously revises

·  Makes use of new technology such as distant learning or video conferencing

·  Verifies, assesses and provides feedback on customer system setup tasks

·  Successfully facilitates system go live readiness and ensures all setup is complete

Product Knowledge

·  Maintains expert level knowledge on all ExecuTime application modules

·  Maintains excellent working knowledge of all products and hardware sold

·  Maintains excellent working knowledge of payroll system integration

Project Management

·  Works directly with the customer, sales and technical staff to ensure project responsibilities are thoroughly and precisely defined (and documented)

·  Assists Sr Project Manager with preparation of discovery and system design documents

·  Meets project plan timelines established by Sr Project Manager

·  Ensures all aspects of system setup are complete, accurate and on time

·  Conducts project presentations, training sessions and compiles reports and/or all other documentation related to the project

·  Coordinates communication between internal staff and the customer

·  Tracks and reports team hours to identify resource overage or deficit

·  Efficiently and competently manages problems, changed requirements, missed deadlines, etc.

·  Documents any major scope changes to solution design and communicate changes with Sr Project Manager

·  Ensures all customer documents are stored on internal servers and up-to-date

·  Escalates issues promptly

System Integration

·  Maintains a high level of understanding in regard to the payroll system integration options and limitations

·  Maintains a high level of understanding in regard to hardware peripherals supported

·  Communicates closely with Integration PM to ensure all import/export data meets customer expectations

Process Improvements

·  Continuously works to improve the project life cycle plan and strategies

·  Strives for reduction in time spent on PM specific tasks while consistently improving customer satisfaction

·  Provides feedback on processes and systems in all other areas of the organization

SKILLS, ABILITY AND KNOWLEDGE

·  Ability to communicate through verbal and written correspondence with all levels of management, employees and outside contacts

·  Experience of the whole project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage, in depths system testing, and at each stage in between

·  Ability to work multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

·  Assertive decision making skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

·  BS Degree in Business or related field

·  2 years’ experience in software implementation/training

·  Additional years project management experience may be substituted for education
