This website contains a variety of different ways for kids to learn about endangered species and animals in general. There are fun facts, games, pictures and videos.

Endangered! (http://www.amnh.org/)

Endangered! is a website brought to you by the American Museum of Natural History. It goes in-depth into the endangered animals exhibit at the museum so that you can see it without actually going there. It has an interactive map, as well as pictures and descriptions of each exhibit.

PBS: Nature (http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/)

This is a website geared towards older kids. It has full episodes of the Nature special that was featured on PBS. It also has an area for teachers.

Zoboomafoo (http://pbskids.org/zoboo/)

Zoboomafoo is a popular show on PBS Kids that features the Kratt Brothers. The website is interactive and contains games and songs as well as a "Creature Feature" for each week.

Bagheera (http://www.bagheera.com/inthewild/vanishing.htm)

This website could be interesting to older children, but it is also set up so that younger children can use it easily. It only has some specific species of endangered animals to research, but they are well thought out and it is easy to use.

Earth's Endangered Creatures (http://www.earthsendangered.com/index_s.asp)

EEC is a very useful website. The content is presented in an easy to use way (animals are listed by continent) so that older children or younger children are able to use it.

Books: Remember books are organized by subject so if you visit the public library, you will need to look in these areas of non-fiction.
