Overview / The Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) State Operated Living Alternatives (SOLA) program is a supported living service operated by state employees. One to four persons live together as roommates and share living expenses and staff support. For more information, see the DDA Fact Sheet on Supported Living Services.
Eligibility Requirements / Individuals who:
·  Enrolled and eligible clients of DDA;
·  Are 18 years of age or older;
·  Are on or approved for the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Core waiver; and
·  Have been assessed as needing supported living services to meet their health and welfare needs.

Oversight / The Department uses a formal review and evaluation process to determine whether a service provider has complied with certification requirements described in Chapter 388-101 WAC, DDA policies, and the Department contract. The Aging and Long Term Care Services Administration (ALTSA) Residential Care Services Division (RCS) conducts certification evaluation of the contracted agencies at least every two years.
Investigation of any complaints regarding abuse, neglect, exploitation, financial exploitation, or mistreatment of clients is conducted by the RCS Division.
