The Duluth Downtown Waterfront District Clean & Safe Team has been created to provide public space maintenance, hospitality and supplemental safety services throughout the district boundaries from Mesaba Avenue to 10th Avenue East and Canal Park to Second Street. These services will make the district:
· Cleaner – litter control, pressure washing, weed removal, and graffiti removal
· Safer – uniformed visibility, reduce panhandling, and escort employees or visitors
· Friendlier – provide directions, respond to requests for assistance, and furnish
information on retail services
The DDWD schedules services to occur on a daily basis throughout the District. Service needs will vary from block to block, but the goal is to provide an overall package of service that is spread uniformly throughout the District. Clean & Safe Team members are to maximize visibility to the public and make rounds on foot or bicycle through all public rights of way. Team members can be easily recognized in their bright neon and royal blue uniforms with “Duluth Downtown Waterfront District Staff” logos.
Hours of Services (Subject to Change)
Team members are on the streets or skywalks providing services during the following times:
Winter Hours: September 19 – May 29 Summer Hours: May 30 – September 18
· Monday through Thursday
8:00 am - 10:00 pm
· Friday
8:00 am - 12:00 Midnight
· Saturday
6:00 pm – 12:00 Midnight
· Sunday
9:00 am – 4:00 pm
