First Date of TIMELINE:

1821 – Mexico Declares Independence from Spain

1849 – California Gold Rush

Your timeline can be displayed in any format your wish (horizontal/vertical, in a specific shape) and must contain 10 significant dates. Consider using Word 2007 for either project, as you can make better visuals than Word 2003. To type within each box in 2007, double click the box, then right click and select ADD TEXT.

To create a bubble chart in 2007, follow these directions:

¯ Click INSERT

¯ Select SMART ART

¯ Select CHOOSE A SMART ART GRAPHIC and BASIC RADIAL – click OK

¯ To create additional bubbles, right click on any bubble and click ADD SHAPE

¯ Extend the borders of your page by moving ALL ruler marks to the edge of the paper

To receive extra credit, please note that your project must contain ALL of the following:

¯ All words typed

¯ Colored Paper or colored writing

¯ Your background must contain an image related to Manifest Destiny
