Responsibilities included: observing TA classrooms to provide feedback on how to improve teaching skills, leading workshops for graduate students on implementing innovative teaching strategies and technology in the classroom, and assisting the lower-division coordinator with a seminar designed to help TAs develop their teaching skills, learn about departmental and university resources and policies, and how to deal with the responsibilities and conflicts that arise in their job.

2010: Prepared and submitted the annual report for the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), which maintains accreditation for the department’s Spanish and French education programs
2010: Assisted the department chair in the preparation of the report that was submitted to the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), which, like the ISBE report, is necessary to maintain accreditation for the department’s Spanish and French education programs
