Dear Parents/Guardians,

Our class is taking part in the Crunch&Sip® Vegetable Challenge, where students aim to bring vegetables for Crunch&Sip® every day for a week. Students could use this week to try some new and interesting options – cauliflower, broccoli, mushroom and corn cobs are some uncommon but tasty choices.

What to bring: Vegetables (whole or cut) each day of the Vegetable Challenge week

Why not aim for a rainbow? Different coloured vegetables provide different vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. This will help give your children the right balance of nutrients for good health! Some suggestions below:

Red: red capsicum, cherry tomatoes

Orange: carrot, orange capsicum

Yellow: corn, yellow tomatoes, yellow capsicum

Purple: purple carrot, purple cabbage

White: cauliflower, mushroom

Green: celery, cucumber, snow peas, sugar snap peas, broccoli, green capsicum
