Daily Recognition
Employees earn a green pickle pin and recognition card every time someone notices them providing ‘pickle service’.
Monthly Recognition
One employee from the team members who earned green pickle pins during the month will be recognized as Pickle Service Person of the Month and will receive:
q The traveling BOB-blehead trophy.
q A framed photo posted on the Recognition Board.
q A Pickle Certificate of Congratulations.
One employee from the team members who presented green pickle pins to co-workers during the month will be randomly selected from the Pickle Jar and will receive:
q A reward determined by you.
Team members who earned 10 green pickle pins will receive:
q A Golden Pickle Pin.
q A reward determined by you.
q A Pickle Certificate of Congratulations.
Determining Prizes
You can deal with the rewards in a couple of ways:
One alternative is to offer different rewards for the different levels of achievement. For example:
· The Nominator - $10 in cash, a gift certificate to local restaurant for lunch, company merchandise, etc.
· The Pickle Person of the Month – This prize should be of greater value. $25 to $50 in cash, an afternoon off work, the ability to choose their schedule next week, company merchandise, a gift certificate to a store or restaurant, etc.
· Those who have received 10 Pickle Certificates – This should be the grand prize category and the prizes should reflect the value the company puts on continued outstanding customer service. Suggestions for prizes include $50 to $100 in cash, dinner for two at a nice restaurant, a paid day off, the ability to choose their work schedule for the next month, company merchandise, etc.
Another alternative is to consider only one prize that employees need to accrue points to redeem. For example, employees may need to accrue 50 pickle points to redeem a company product or a gift certificate. Those who win the nominator drawing might receive 10 points, those who are pickle person of the month 25 points and those who have accumulated 10 Pickle Recognition Cards 50 points.
