Crime Watch Report for May 20, 2011 through May 25, 2011

CASE # 11-1835 BREAKING AND ENTERING On Friday, May 20, 2011, CPL Bryan responded to a breaking and entering complaint in Kingwood. Several items, including a large hunting blind, fishing poles and two compound bows, were taken from a storage unit.

CASE # 11-1849 BREAKING AND ENTERING On Friday, May 20, 2011, CPL Bryan responded to the Bruceton Mills area in regards to a breaking and entering complaint. Two tree stands, a wood stove, two boxes of 30.06 cartridges and a shooting sandbag were stolen. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 11-1867 LARCENY On Friday, May 20, 2011, CPL Root received a call from a resident of Reedsville who stated that metal had been stolen from a residence that had burnt. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 11-1829 FRAUD On Friday, May 20, 2011, CPL Pratt received a call from a resident of Kingwood who stated that she had received a bill from NewEgg.com in reference to something that she never purchased. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 11-1833 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY On Saturday, May 21, 2011, CPL Tichnell responded to a local business in Kingwood in regards to a destruction of property complaint. The suspect was identified and cited for damage to a business door.

CASE # 11-1836 LARCENY On Saturday, May 21, 2011, Deputy Rodeheaver responded to Masontown in regards to a larceny complaint. A dog had been stolen from a residence. The dog was later returned to the owner.

CASE # 11-1886 LARCENY On Saturday, May 21, 2011, Deputy Rodeheaver responded to the Big Bear Lake area in regards to a larceny complaint. A Sony radio had been stolen from a golf cart.

CASE $ 11-1847 BURGLARY On Saturday, May 21, 2011, CPL Bryan responded to Terra Alta in regards to a burglary complaint. The victims door had been pried open and property stolen. Some of the property included packaged hamburger and chicken. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 11-1848 BREAKING AND ENTERING On Saturday, May 21, 2011, CPL Bryan responded to the Terra Alta area in regards to a breaking and entering complaint. A garage had been broken into and a generator stolen. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 11-1851 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY On Saturday, May 21, 2011, CPL Tichnell responded to a destruction of property complaint at the Back Roads Bar in Terra Alta.

CASE # 11-1861 LARCENY On Monday, May 23, 2011, Deputy Sinclair received a larceny complaint from a resident of Aurora. The victim stated that a Yard Man riding mower had been stolen from his property.

CASE # 11-1866 BURGLARY On Monday, May 23, 2011, Deputy Sinclair responded to a residence along the Aurora Pike, near Terra Alta, in regards to a burglary complaint. The front door of the residence had been kicked in and jewelry was taken. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 11-1876 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY On Monday, May 23, 2011, LT Stiles responded to a destruction of property complaint near Fellowsville.

CASE # 11-1870 STOLEN VEHICLE On Monday, May 23, 2011, CPL Root received a complaint from a resident of Bruceton Mills regarding a stolen vehicle. The vehicle is a 1994 green Dodge Caravan.

CASE # 11-1872 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY On Monday, May 23, 2011, CPL Bryan received a call from a witness to a destruction of property. The witness stated that he saw a male jump out of a vehicle and damage a mailbox along W Herring Road, near Masontown. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 11-1878 HIT-N-RUN On Monday, May 23, 2011, LT Stiles received a complaint from a resident near Fellowsville who stated that his vehicle had recently been damaged.

CASE # 11-1875 LARCENY On Monday, May 23, 2011, Deputy Mitter responded to Rowlesburg in regards to a larceny complaint. The victim stated that a gas can had been stolen from her shed.

CASE # 11-1898 BURGLARY On Tuesday, May 24, 2011, Deputy Mitter responded to a residence near Terra Alta in regards to a burglary complaint. A .357 magnum revolver was stolen along with a gold cross necklace and money. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE # 11-1906 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY On Wednesday, May 25, 2011, Deputy Sinclair received a call from a resident of Bruceton Mills who stated that all of the windows to his PT Cruiser vehicle were busted out.

WVSP responded to a breaking and entering complaint on Monday, May 23, 2011, in the Bretz area, near Masontown. Trooper White is the investigating officer.

WVSP responded to a burglary complaint in Aurora on Monday, May 23, 2011. A television set and jewelry were stolen. Trooper Wood is the investigating officer.
