Section F – Declaration
§  I confirm that the information I have given on this form is complete and true to the best of my knowledge and belief.
§  I understand that, to be eligible to receive a CAS from the University of Gloucestershire (henceforth “the university”), I must generally be either: (a) an applicant holding an unconditional offer of a place on a new course of study; or (b) a current undergraduate or postgraduate taught student who is required to (i) retake a module (or modules) or (ii) continue or complete the course further to a period of retakes in the past or (iii) return to the course following a period of deferral; or (c) a current postgraduate research student who is required to (i) continue into a fourth year of writing-up (pre-viva) or (ii) amend a thesis following a viva outcome of “major corrections” (iii) re-work a thesis following a viva outcome of “resubmission” or (iv) return to the course following a period of de-registration.
§  I understand that, in order for a CAS to be assigned, the university will need to be satisfied that (a) the course or further period of study complies with Tier 4 requirements (e.g. is full-time); (b) my visa application is likely to be successful (and that if there are reasonable grounds for suspecting otherwise, e.g. insufficient funds are held, a CAS will not be issued); (c) I will comply with the conditions of my Tier 4 leave (e.g. in relation to any work restriction); (d) the documents I have submitted with my application are genuine (and that if any documents are proven or suspected to be fraudulent, a CAS will not be issued); (e) where clearance under the Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) is required, I possess such clearance; (f) I have not exceeded, or will not exceed by the end of my course, the maximum amount of time permitted under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations; (g) the course I have applied for represents academic progression from the last course I studied on a Student Visa (and that if the university does not consider that academic progression can be justified to UKVI, a CAS will not be issued); (h) where relevant, I have sufficient time to submit a Tier 4 application, travel to the UK, and complete enrolment formalities (including payment of requisite fees) prior to the enrolment deadline.
§  I confirm that I have read and understood the financial requirements for a Tier 4 (General) Student visa application, and I understand that if I do not fully adhere to these guidelines my visa application is likely to be refused.
§  I understand that, under the conditions of my Tier 4 visa, my attendance and progress on my course will be monitored by the university and that if I do not attend as required, I may be reported to UKVI.
§  I understand that the university reserves the right to withdraw my CAS in the event of non-compliance with the conditions of my visa or non-payment of fees, and that the university cannot be held responsible for any resulting visa refusals, loss of visa application fees, or loss of other fees as might be relevant.
§  I understand that additional leave to remain at the end of the course is granted entirely at the caseworker’s discretion; that current UKVI policy is to grant an extra seven days at the end of a course that is less than 6 months, an extra two months at the end of a course that is more than 6 months but less than 12 months, and an extra four months at the end of a course that is 12 months or more; and further that the university reserves the right to have visas amended in the event that additional leave granted at the end of the course is not in accord with this policy.
§  I understand that if I wish to submit my visa application inside the UK, I am required to submit through the university’s Immigration Compliance Team (Visa Advice Service); and further that the university reserves the right not to submit my application if it considers that evidence material to the application is missing, inadequate, or does not meet UKVI criteria.
§  I understand that the university cannot be held responsible if my or my dependants’ visa applications are refused (for any reason) or returned invalid, nor for any resulting loss of visa application fees or any other fees as might be relevant.
§  I understand that the university reserves the absolute right to discontinue sponsorship of my Tier 4 visa, at any time, if it considers that continuation of sponsorship poses a risk to its Tier 4 Sponsor Licence.
§  I understand that, if at any time I lose my leave to remain in the UK (for example, due to a visa refusal or rejection), the university is required by law to de-register me from my course of study and reserves the right to defer my studies.
§  I confirm that, in the event I am given permission to submit an in-country visa application via Public Enquiry Office, or through a solicitor, I will bring my new visa to the university’s Immigration Compliance Team within one week of it being issued to me. I understand that failure to present my new visa within this time period could result in me being de-registered from my course.
§  I give permission for all members of the university’s Immigration Compliance Team to communicate with UKVI and the UK Police regarding any aspect of my visa application and immigration history.
§  I agree that, if I am applying inside the UK, the university’s Immigration Compliance Team will be the sole party authorised to communicate with UKVI regarding my application(s), and that I will not contact UKVI without with the express permission of the university’s Immigration Compliance Team.
