Configuring an iPhone or iPad for Two Factor Authentication

This document outlines the steps necessary to configure your Methodist iPhone or iPad for the new two factor authentication. For assistance, please contact the I.T. Service Desk at 402-354-2280.

Required Steps:

  • Remove the existing Citrix “Receiver” application (if installed) Page 2
  • Install the new Citrix “Receiver” application Page 4
  • Configure the new Citrix “Receiver” application for mobile.bestcare.org Page 5

Requirements:

  • iOS Device (iPhone or iPad)
  • iOS 8.x
  • Apple Store Account
  • 2 Factor Authentication Phone Number Setup with Methodist
  • Availability to a physical phone which is setup to receive the two factor authentication code
  • Remove the existing Citrix “Receiver” application, if installed

(If you do not have the Citrix “Receiver” installed, skip this step)

If you do have Citrix “Receiver” installed, follow these steps to remove it:

  1. Locate the Citrix “Receiver” Icon. Press and hold the Icon until the “X” appears in the upper left hand corner of all Icons.
  1. Release your finger and then press the “X” on the “Receiver” ICON to start the removal process. You should receive the confirmation screen below to validate removal of the application.
  1. Press “DELETE” to remove the old application. Press the Home key when the removal is complete.
  • Install the new Citrix “Receiver” application

1.  Access the Apple App store, search for “citrix receiver” and download the application.

  • Configure the new Citrix “Receiver” application for mobile.bestcare.org

1.  When the download from the Apps store is complete, select OPEN.

2.  Select the “Receiver” ICON.

3.  Select “Add Account”

4.  Enter Address: https://mobile.bestcare.org

5.  Press Next

6.  Enter your Methodist:

Username:

Password:

Doman: nmhs.org

7.  Click Log On

8.  You should now receive a phone call from: 1(402)-354-6040 for verification:

9.  Accept the call and respond by pressing the “#” key.

If you do not receive the phone call or need assistance please contact the I.T. Service Desk at 402-354-2280.

Press the Home key and select the “Receiver” icon. You should see the “common” apps in Receiver.
