Competency Planning Worksheet & Example

What are your personal target competencies as an instructional designer/developer? Research the range of competencies developed by professional organizations for learning and performance professionals, and the competencies listed in job advertisements that interest you. Then, reflect on what you discover and make your own personalized list, selecting those that are applicable to your personal career goals. Date the list and rate yourself on your mastery of each competency. Use your dated and rated list as a benchmark snapshot of your professional development and as a road map for future development. We’ve provided a competency planning worksheet for your use below (expand the rows, as needed), and have completed a portion of a competency worksheet to serve as an example.
