COMPARING GOSPEL WRITERS ~ DUE: Monday, September 18, 2006
Create a PowerPoint presentation or a Display Board identifying the similarities and differences between the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Focus on how each gospel writer presents the story of Jesus’ life. Look at how each begins the gospels, what events each has chosen to include or exclude, who their audience might have been, and other factors that might have to do with each gospel’s perspective.
You may use the Break-Through Bible handout, ctnba.org links, or any other resources including the Catholic Sourcebook. The best way to get the “flavor” of each is by reading the same event in each of the gospels.
You will be graded on the following:
CONTENT – 20 pts.
Your work has many examples and details that show you have done your research and you understand the similarities and difference between the four gospels and their writers. Your content is accurate and gives credit to sources of information.
CREATIVITY – 10 pts.
Your work shows that you’ve put energy and thought into your work. Your work exhibits originality.
ATTRACTIVENESS/NEATNESS – 10 pts.
Your work is neat free of mechanical errors, or any elements that take away from your creativity and content.
