Christine Kessler, MN, CNS, ANP, BC-ADM, CDTC, FAANP

Christine Kessler is an award-winning nurse practitioner providing advanced diabetes medical management within the Department of Endocrinology of a large teaching hospital in Northern Virginia. She is the recipient of a special commendation from the Surgeon General for having the highest patient satisfaction ratings among Army healthcare providers worldwide. Recently she was honored by being inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

During her 40 years of nursing practice, she has worked predominantly within the field of Critical Care and has held diverse roles in management, research, as a clinical specialist and nurse practitioner. Christine spent 15 years in academia, as an Assistant Professor and lecturer in the undergraduate nursing program of Seattle Pacific University and in the graduate nursing program of Catholic University of America in Washington D.C., as well as serving as adjunct faculty at other Universities. Her international work has taken her to various countries in Western Europe, Russia, Asia, Central America and Africa. Christine has also served on the editorial boards of various nursing journals and has been a prolific author and national speaker addressing a wide range of topics; including diabetes, endocrinology, metabolic disorders, chronobiology, immunology, hematology, obesity, nutragenomics and complementary therapies. She even works as an occasional stand-up comedian.
