Deputy Principal

Oasis Academy Watermead

Salary: L 11-15 (£48,991 - £53,964)

Changing lives – a unique opportunity to be part of a strategic leader in a brand new academy.

An exciting opportunity is now available for an outstanding leader to join Oasis Academy Watermead. This brand new primary academy opened in September 2014 with a cohort of 60 students in Reception and a 52 place Nursery. Due to the high demand for school places in the local area our numbers will rise from November by another 90 children and then continue to rise over time until we are a full 420 place academy.

The successful candidate will take a leading role in the design of our curriculum and assessment processes. In order to embed this outstanding practice across the academy this position will be non-class based. Our aim is to be at the forefront of innovative practice.

We are committed to ensuring that all our children and their families attending our academy are able to feel a true sense of belonging and value. Our work within our community hub is central to all that we do. Candidates must have ambition, drive and most importantly, a passion for learning that will inspire both children and our academy community.

Oasis Academy Watermead is part of the Oasis Community Learning family, a multi-academy sponsor with the express purpose of transforming schools into community Hubs, through applying a holistic view of education. This new post offers an exciting opportunity to be part of this nationally growing organisation, making a difference to communities on a local level, while individually improving the life chances of young people. The successful candidate will need to understand, share and be committed to the Oasis ethos of inclusion, equality, healthy relationships, hope and perseverance.
