Calling All Bartenders!

Tales of the Cocktail in partnership with Culinary Concierge Magazine invite you to submit a winning recipe for the Official Cocktail Competition of the 5th Anniversary
Tales of the Cocktail.

What good is a 5th Anniversary without a celebratory cocktail? And how better to celebrate than with Moët & Chandon White Star Champagne! If you think your skills are up to the challenge, we would like you to create a champagne based cocktail that we can use as our official cocktail at this year’s event.

Rules:

1.  Competition is open to any bartender currently working in the bar or restaurant industry.

2.  Each entrant shall submit one entry per official entry form (attached).

3.  All Entries Must Be Received By March 23, 2007.

4.  All recipes shall be original creations created by the entrant.

5.  Recipes shall be expressed in ounces, drops, or dashes.

6.  Your cocktail must utilize Moët & Chandon White Star Champagne.

7.  Your cocktail must also utilize at least one other ingredient from the list of or sponsors products (see below).

8.  Your drink should not contain more than 5 ingredients (ice and garnish not included).

9.  Ingredients besides those listed in item 5 and 6 above, should be products that would be expected to be available to most quality bars, or easily acquired/made.

10.  Cocktails made with inappropriate ingredients will be disqualified, with determination of what constitutes an inappropriate ingredient up to the discretion of the staff of Tales of the Cocktail, and the judging committee.

11.  Cocktails will be judged on Originality, use of product, taste, and presentation.

12.  You do not need to be present to compete, or win.

13.  Bartenders who can make arrangements to be in New Orleans during final judging on March 29, 2007 will be allowed to make their cocktails for the judges, all other cocktails will be made by bartenders chosen by Tales of the Cocktail.

14.  First prize winner will receive $1,500 cash and be the “Official Cocktail” of Tales of the Cocktail 2007.

15.  Second place winner will receive $400.00 cash and third place winner will receive $100.00.

16. Winning recipes will be announced and featured with photography in the Summer 2007 Issue of Culinary Concierge Magazine New Orleans.
