Program Overview:

As part of Discover’s unique culture based on leadership, innovation and rewards, the Discover Leadership Program (DLP) provides participants with the opportunity for career advancement and success. Participants of the DLP will rotate through defined business units tailored to their specific interests, background and talents. Successful DLP participants enjoy significant responsibility through challenging work assignments that support Discover’s strategic priorities and objectives. Our initial two-week training includes elements focused on intensive industry and organizational knowledge, leadership communication techniques, creating your personal brand and building your internal network. Throughout the duration of the program, participants gain unique cross-functional exposure and access to our senior leadership team. Participants are also provided with a dedicated program manager, experienced rotational managers and a knowledgeable mentor to provide guidance as you navigate your career through Discover. Operations Leadership Program Track:

The Operations Leadership Program (OLP) is a two-year entry level rotational program for recent college graduates. Individuals joining the OLP will work within one of the functional areas of our Cardmember Services and Consumer Banking (CSCB) division on strategic initiatives aligned with Discover’s overall goals. In addition to the initial two-week training, participants will visit one of our operations centers where they will gain a real-world, customer facing experience. Rotations involve challenging responsibilities such as project management, new product development, process optimization, financial analysis and supervisory opportunities. Upon successful completion of the two-year program, participants will be placed permanently within one of the following CSCB areas:

· Bank Operations

· Corporate Security (Fraud Prevention)

· Consumer Deposits

· Customer Services and Engagement

· Diner’s Club International

· Discover Home Loans

· Discover LEAN Group

· Discover Network

· Discover Personal Loans

· Discover Student Loans

· Processing Services and Facilities

· Strategy and Analysis

Required Qualifications

Applicants must posses the following required qualifications to be considered for the program:

· Bachelor’s Degree in a business or related liberal arts major with a graduation date between December 2011 - June 2012

· A minimum of a 3.0 GPA on 4.0 grade point average scale

· Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

SKILLS

· Academic excellence with project management, problem-solving and quantitative competence/interest

· Proven leadership ability and ambition

· Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

· Demonstrated versatility in professional, academic and/or extracurricular experiences

· Ability to interact with and influence all staff levels from line through senior management
