Disability Action Wyre Forest meeting Thursday 29th October 2015 @St Mary’s Chantry Kidderminster.

1 The Chair welcomed every one.
2Apologies Cllr/Mayor Rose Bishop & Tammy Brewster.
3a Minutes of the 3rd September were agreed & signed by the Chair.
3b Matters arising-JS &JP attended meeting on 16th September 2015 with Mark Garnier MP& James WhartonMP at Porticullis House Westminster regarding DAWF regarding access regulations to new dwellings.
JDS reported back saying that more enforcement could be made by local authorities- Action plan to target all opportunities with Wyre Forest Council & other development bodies.-ML to contact WFDC to arrange meeting ASAP.
ML raised planning app 15/0380 the outline planning off Comberton Hill DAWF had objected to proposal due to the proposed flats having no lift. Also concerns raised by group& member GD who lives adjacent to the proposed development.
Wyre Forest local plan response- ML reported on the need for all new dwellings to be accessible.
4 JDS distributed information about Worcestershire County Council intentions (copy filed).
· A county wide service with appropriate partners;
· Advice Services with Worcestershire Advice Network (WAN) a partnership Worc’s CAB’s & DIAL’s.
· A WCC site “Your Life your Choice” which will allow individuals to access information, advice & social care a cross Worcestershire
5Hearing loop Awareness week-ML distributed information (copy filed) & loop audit checker form.
6Oborski No Barriers awards 2015 on22nd October 2015.- A list of nominations was distributed (Copy filed).
7 50 Shades of grey site proposed visit details postponed until next meeting 3rd December 2015.
8Choice event Guild hall 29th October 2015 been cancelled no details if event will be rescheduled at moment.
9 Any Other Business-Wyre Forest Dial a Ride AGM 2pm 16th November2015 @ Holy Innocents Church hall.
10 date of next meeting 2pm Thursday 3rd December 2015 @ St Mary’s Chantry .
