BYRON P. HANSBRO

Byron Palmer Hansbro, attorney at law is a native of Decatur, Illinois. He is a 1988 graduate of Jackson State University, (Jackson, Mississippi) earning a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with a concentration in print journalism.

After leaving Jackson State University, Byron enrolled in the University Of Mississippi School Of Law from which he graduated in 1991. As a student, he was active in many student organizations. He served as president of the Black Law Students Association and as student representative to the Mississippi State Bar Association, Young Lawyer’s Division. He also attended the University of Cambridge, Downing College Summer International Law Program in Cambridge, England.

Upon graduating from law school Byron went to work as an associate with the Law Firm of McCoy, Wilkins, Stephens & Tipton, P.A. in Jackson, Mississippi. Byron also served as an adjunct professor at Jackson State University teaching in the political science and mass communications departments.

In May1999 Hansbro returned to the State of Illinois to take a position with State Farm Insurance Company in their Corporate Law Department Extra Contractual Litigation Unit. He supervised litigation in OH for 13 years. He has supported KY and TN since 2006. He has also supervised litigation and EC Litigation in GA, SC, AR, LA, TN and KY.
