§ Sponsorships: Community businesses and individuals are encouraged to participate as sponsors. Securing a team sponsorship is mandatory for each team. A list of sponsorship opportunities and associated recognition, as well as sponsorship forms is available from Spence Price, Park Sponsor Representative. Additional forms will be made available at the Team Mom Meeting and in the concession stand.
§ Tiny Tot Players: Player evaluations are not conducted. The coach will contact players when teams are selected.
§ Coaching Information:
o Signups: Coaches must complete a coaches form and be approved by the GBAA board to coach. At registration, forms will be available to be filled out by anyone wanting to coach a team. Included in this form is information needed to perform a background check. Background checks will be mandatory.
o Coaches Meeting: Meeting is MANDATORY and will be held on Thursday, January 31 at 7pm in the Field House behind Buford City Gym.
o Player Drafts: All coaches will meet for the player draft immediately following player evaluations.
o Team Mom Meeting: Coaches, please assign a team mom for your team as soon as possible. The team mom meeting will be held on February 24 @ 2pm at the Buford City Gym. Critical and important information will be communicated and distributed at this meeting.
§ Regular Season Games and Opening Day Parade: Saturday, March 15th.
§ Parents Meeting: The GBAA Board invites all parents to attend an informational pre-season meeting on Sunday, February 24 @ 3:30 p.m. at the Buford City Gym.
§ General Meeting: The GBAA membership meeting and officer elections will be held in May.
§ School Testing: A child is not required to attend practice or other GBAA event if the parent feels that the child needs to prepare for school testing such as ITBS, Gateway or similar standardized test.
