Major Accomplishments: Working with community and Middle Schools in LWSD supporting STEAM Education

Responsibilities

• Reviewing bylaws, Board committee charters, Board job descriptions and governing policies at least annually, and making recommendations to the Board.

• Evaluating the Board’s performance, through self-­‐assessment and feedback from the executive director, and making recommendations to the Board.

• Recruiting new Board members and making recommendations to the Board.

• Training and development of Board members in conjunction with the executive director.

• Selecting trustees to serve on a temporary nominating committee. This nominating committee nominates the best‐qualified candidates for Foundation officer positions and recommends a slate of officers to be voted upon by the Board.

September2008- to 2009 Assistant Executive Director, Saul and Dayee G. Haas Foundation a private non-profit foundation that supports 800+ Washington State secondary schools since 1963.

Staff: Two Full Time and, 4 part-time personnel with the equivalent of one full-time employee. In addition to staff, we have a pool of 60 volunteers who provide skills ranging from grant writing to IT support.

Major Accomplishments: Lead Support: Working closely with the Haas customers and grantees providing on call, email and in person support via frequently scheduled webinars. Refined work and process related materials, oriented volunteers and worked around streamlining strategies so as to carve out an effective and compassionate customer face of the organization. Currently working closely with my executive director in replacing the old fashioned chaotic customer service process to non-siloed, streamlined and more direction oriented process in places with the aim for better serving the grantees of Haas Foundation and effective utilization of time and efforts of volunteer-staff

Supplement Volunteer recruitment: Actively involved in profiling gaps and filling them up, assisting with interview, recruitment and orientation. Thereby creating a pro-bono support structure working together towards the cause of the organization

Project Management: Am Project Managing the UX design of a web-application endeavor of the organization. Brainstorming with the in-house team of pro-bono graphic designers and discussing the best possible implementation strategy for the ideas generated. Balancing resource and time allocation to various parallel web-initiatives in hand

Fundraising: Have been involved with promoting and propagating online fundraising initiative amongst family friends and community. This has been my first-initiative towards fund-raising.

Sep2007-Sep2008: Contract Lead Web-developer for Microsoft and MSN

Creation of effective customer oriented portal

Major Accomplishments: Designed, developed and implemented most widely acclaimed and used portals by Microsoft at Microsoft Online. Portal is intended for selling Office products online. I was the lead developer for their winter and spring quarter initiatives. Second most comprehensive portal that I worked on was related to Health at MSN Health. Here I was responsible for UI design implementation. Hired for my technical proficiencies

Fall2005-Summer2007: Technical faculty at LWTC, Kirkland

Major Accomplishment: Developed and designed course and curriculum for specific information technology application development courses. Developed and published quarterly course-work and related assignment. Assisted college while choosing appropriate courseware and program guides for the student with regards to specific subjects. Provided instruction and oftentimes provided much needed assistance and direction to youths and Adult learners. Supported students with much needed direction for successful completion of the course and helping them understand the bigger picture and driving them to their intended goal. Worked with Associate Dean to decide and design new courses and the related syllabus for new technical advancements in the IT field. Helped in formal evaluation process of students and iteratively worked upon the education course content and process to attain higher standards.

Fundraising for the college: Assisted in Silent Auctions hosted by LWTC during their annual event.

2004-2005 Served as a freelance linguistic and cultural consultant for Japanese language

Major Accomplishment: Developed and designed course and curriculum for specific language and cultural courses. Conducted workshops and classroom instructions for language and Japanese culture

1998-2004 Systems engineer and corporate trainer in largest Indian IT firm (Tata Consultancy Services) and technical consultant for CIF (Child India Foundation)

As a technical contract consultant at CIF, a government of India project in association with Ministry of Social Justice and empowerment, I was leading the supervision and installation of a web-based initiative throughout the

22 branches across India. I was the point of contact for 1000+ case generated on weekly basis, their statistical analysis and dissemination to appropriate department was done by my team of 7 people.
