Attire for Promotion
2015
Acceptable graduation attire consists of the following:
Girls:
§ A skirt or dress that is at least mid-thigh length, as per district dress code. Dressy slacks or capris also may be worn. Shorts are not permitted.
§ Tops cannot be revealing or low cut in style or design. Straps must be a minimum of two inches wide.
§ Shoes should be dressy. For safety reasons and to protect the new athletic field, no high heels or spikey high heels, and no flips flops.
Boys:
§ A collared dress shirt and tie.
§ Casual or dress pants. No jeans, shorts, or sweat pants.
§ Shoes with socks. No sandals, flip-flops, sneakers or work boots.
Gown Care Tips
§ Hang your gown after you try it on.
§ You can relax the wrinkles by leaving it in a bathroom full of steam.
§ You can iron your gown, but be very careful and use the lowest heat setting possible. You may want to test an inconspicuous place like the inside of the hem before you start.
§ Please check all seams and zippers!
§ Tassels go from left to right.
§ Your gown length is acceptable if it falls anywhere between your upper calf and ankle.
