2014 AGENCY CAPACITY BUILDING GRANT APPLICATION
General Guidelines: The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas has received grant funds to purchase equipment for capacity building to re-grant to our partner agencies. The purpose of the equipment is to enable programs to better serve clients and to enable programs to serve more clients.
Agencies may apply for the following items:
· Household combination refrigerator/freezer
· Upright freezer
· Upright refrigerator
· Covered trailer for transporting food
· Laptop Computer with Microsoft word
· Shelving Unit to hold food products
· Digital Scale
According to the Guidelines of this grant, preference will be given to food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters. However, all agencies serving low-income families are encouraged to apply. Agencies must be in good standing and current on the past 12 months reporting to qualify for grants. Applications must be completed and returned to the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas by August 25, 2014. Applications received after August 25, 2014 will not be considered. The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will purchase all equipment items on behalf of the recipient agencies. Recipient Agencies must transport the granted equipment from the store or other designated location to the Partner Agency location. A follow up report must be completed 1 year after receiving the grant.
Grants will be announced at the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas’ Annual Agency Networking Conference on September 23, 2014. The Conference and Awards Ceremony will be held at the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas. A representative from your agency must be present at the Agency Networking Conference to be eligible for equipment grants. Grant Agreements will be issued to the Agency Representative at the time of the announcement, and this Agreement must be signed and submitted to the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas before the equipment will be released to the agency.
