This includes the patient's pre-operative visit, operative procedure, post-procedure care and discharge. The position requires expert knowledge of orthopedics including current knowledge of operative techniques and care required by the patient population. The orthopedic coordinator supports the patient satisfaction goals and objectives established by Management. In addition the orthopedic coordinator works with the Director of Physician relations and participates in the orthopedic community lectures presented at the hospital. Responsible for nurse practice (including clinical and administration) the patient coordination when scheduled for an orthopedic procedure from registration to pre-operative appointment, surgery and post surgery.
