Administrative Assistant I
Purpose
Purpose:
To assist the director of the grant with clerical and accounting duties, such as travel reimbursement, payments and account reconciliation, as well as, developing and maintaining internal control methods for all records, compiling and processing statistical reports, and managing all database processes and emails.
Essential Functions
Function 1:
Manage calendar. Handle information requests. Refer visitors to appropriate staff, departments or locations. Manage incoming and outgoing mail.

Function 2:
Perform clerical duties as assigned by administrator. Schedule meetings, process and maintain accurate records for travel reimbursements and affiliated agency contracts.
15 % Time
Function 3:
Develop and maintain internal control methods for unit records, student records, and affiliated agency records.
15 % Time
Function 4:
Compile and process statistical reports. Monitor reviews, update and correct data.
20 % Time
Function 5:
Manage all databases processes and e-mail inbox.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of administrative, secretarial, and clerical experience OR Bachelor's degree with 1 year of upper level secretarial experience. Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent computer skills, including experience working with MS Access and MS Word. Experience with DEFINE (UT Arlington data management/accounting system). Excellent organizational and communication skills.
