SELECTION FOR MEDICAL (MBBS) AND DENTAL (BDS) COURSE SESSION-2016
The Association of Private Unaided Medical & Dental Colleges of J&K comprising of member institutions Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Sidhra, Jammu and Institute of Dental Sciences, Sehora, Kunjwani Road Jammu, mandated to conduct a single window counselling for these institutions for purposes to fill up (50 seats MBBS) 40 seats for open merit & 10 seats NRI and 50 BDS seats for open merit, based on the results of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2016, Phase-I and II. The admission notification of 10 NRI seats for BDS course shall be issued separately. In light of the directions and orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in W.P. No. 261/2016 dated 28-04-2016 and 09-05-2016, admissions to Medical and Dental UG Courses shall be completed before 30th September 2016.

PURSUANT TO NEET RESULTS DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
The Association of Private Unaided Medical & Dental Colleges of J&K comprising of member institutions Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Sidhra, Jammu and Institute of Dental Sciences, Sehora, Kunjwani Road Jammu, mandated to conduct a single window counselling for these institutions for purposes to fill up (50 seats MBBS) 40 seats for open merit & 10 seats NRI and 50 BDS seats for open merit, based on the results of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test 2016, Phase-I and II. APUMDC invites applications from the eligible candidates to participate in seat selection process for admission to MBBS/BDS seats in its member Institutions during 2016-17. The eligibility criteria is as laid down by CBSE, New Delhi (NEET-2016).
SEAT MATRIX : (100 SEATS) IN MBBS COURSE
The breakup of the seats is as under:-
BOPEE – 50
40 seats, Payment category selected by J&K BOPEE
10 seats, for the Economically Weaker Sections selected by J&K BOPEE
The list of eligible candidates in order of merit would be forwarded to the College by J&K BOPEE after the counseling.
NEET – 50
40 seats, Management Quota selected by NEET
Selection on the basis of merit list of NEET
Category I = 15 seats
Category II = 25 seats
10 seats, NRI Quota selected by NEET

CATEGORY FOR MBBS UNDER MANAGEMENT QUOTA:
Category-I:-
All candidates, from any community i.e. Hindu & non Hindu of J&K State or from outside the State are eligible for selection in order of merit.
Category-II:-
All candidates, belonging to Hindu Minority Community of J&K State only, are eligible for selection in order of merit.
The upward movement of the candidates from Category-2nd to Category-1st shall be subject to the availability of vacancies in the Category-1st. However, in case of any candidate belonging to the Non-Hindu Community or a candidate from outside the J&K State falling within the parameter of merit (and who did not find place in the Category-1st initially) only an available vacant seat in Category-1st (becoming available subsequently) can be allotted to him/her strictly in the order of merit.
NRI Category:
The candidates who apply under this category, should have also qualified the test conducted by the NEET and their merit shall be determined separately.
The preference wise criteria for admission to MBBS/BDS under NRI Category shall be as follows:
(i) Where the applicant himself/herself is NRI and the family originally belongs to Jammu & Kashmir State.
(ii) Children/Wards of NRIs, who originally belong to Jammu & Kashmir State.
(iii) Where the applicant himself/herself is NRI and the originally belongs to any Indian State or Union Territory other than J&K.
(iv) Children/Wards of NRI’s, who originally belong to any Indian State or Union Territory other than J&K State.

FEE STRUCTURE
MBBS COURSE:
10 seats, for the Economically Weaker Sections selected by J&K BOPEE Rs. 39,000/- per annum
40 seats, Payment category selected by J&K BOPEE Rs. 4,50,000/- per annum
40 seats, Management Quota selected by NEET Rs. 4.50.000/- per annum
10 seats, NRI Quota selected by NEET USD 19,565/- per annum
BDS COURSE:
40 seats, Payment category selected by J&K BOPEE Rs. 1,72,500/- per annum
50 seats, Management Quota selected by NEET Rs. 2,30,000/- per annum

Applications are invited on the prescribed format with photocopies of the requisite documents as listed below with effect from 20-08-2016 to 27-08-2016, separately for open merit and under NRI category. Candidates would be required to appear IN PERSON for counseling along with their original documents.
Last date of submission of application form is Saturday, the 27th August, 2016 till 3.00 PM)
NO CANDIDATE WILL BE ENTERTAINED AFTER THE LAST DATE OF CONSELING UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

3. SSC (or equivalent passing certificate or any other Government document as proof of Date of Birth.
4. 12th Class (or equivalent) examination marks sheet.

6. Anyone of the valid photo ID proof:
(i) Passport
(ii) PAN Card
(iii) Driving License
(iv) Aadhaar Card/Acknowledgment for Aadhaar Card
(v) Voter’s Identity card
(vi) Certificate with photo issued by the Head of the Institution last studied.
7. Demand draft of Rs. 600/- (Rupees Six hundred only) as Counseling fee for Management quota and Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) for NRI category in favour of APUMDC payable at Jammu.
The counseling and admission shall be strictly held as per clause 8 given in NEET result sheet of individual candidate which is reproduced verbatim here as under:-
“Qualifying in NEET (UG) 2016 does not confer any right for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges. Selection of Qualified candidates in NEET (UG) 2016 for admission to Medical/Dental Colleges is subject to merit position and satisfying the admission criteria as laid down in the rules of Central Government/State Government/Universities/ Institutions”.
ANY CANDIDATE WHO FAILS TO APPEAR IN PERSON ON THE PRESCRIBED DATE OF HIS/HER COUNSELING SHALL FORFEIT THE RIGHT OF HIS/HER ADMISSION TO THE SAID COURSE.
BAN ON RAGGING:-
Ragging in the Educational Institutions has been banned by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. However, copy of the guidelines, framed by the Medical and Dental Council of India, to curb the menace of ragging in Medical/Dental Council, shall be provided to the candidates, before the commencement of the Academic session. The students are directed not to indulge in ragging as it is a culpable offence.
