1. Overview of the Package

The package “Disable_Storage_via_USBport.exe” will disable storage ability on external devices via USB port

Note:

a)  User should have admin rights to run this tool on their PCs. Users without admin access should contact LTS for support to run this tool

b)  Any existing device configurations for Data cards and modems will not be impacted. For new configurations, users should contact LTS for support

c)  If you do not have access to Highly Confidential and/or Restricted client data due to a change in your role or roll-off etc, work with your local technical support to get this functionality enabled after approval from your Information Security Lead

d)  This tool should be used only with Accenture provided devices.

2. Installation Steps :

Follow the below steps to run the tool:

a.  Download the exe from link : https://software.accenture.com/display.asp?id=2394

b.  Double click on the “Disable_Storage_via_USBport.exe”

c.  If the target OS is Vista/Windows7 the execution starts with the below screen otherwise execution starts at step d

d.  Remove any connected usb devices and click “OK” to continue as shown below

e.  Click OK to continue on the prompted message, as shown below
