A RESOLUTION in Honor of Representative Charles R. Geveden Upon the Occasion of His 60Th

A RESOLUTION in honor of Representative Charles R. Geveden upon the occasion of his 60th birthday.

WHEREAS, Representative Charles R. Geveden was born on March 3, 1940, a native of Ballard County, Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, the "Gentleman from Ballard 1" has graciously followed in the footsteps of his late father, Noah Geveden, who served in this honorable body from 1961-1962 and of his great uncle J.W. Geveden, who served in 1919-1920; and

WHEREAS, he is a 1962 graduate of Vanderbilt University and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Louisville; and

WHEREAS, he is the proud husband of Patricia Geveden and proud father of his children Cindy Praska, Ron Geveden, Kim Geveden, and Chuck Geveden. He is also the proud grandfather of five grandchildren who keep him constantly on his toes; and

WHEREAS, over the past twelve years of his diligent service to this honorable body, he has driven from the outermost legislative district of this Commonwealth; and

WHEREAS, he is entering that wonderful phase of his life where he can just sit back in the "river bottoms of Wickliffe" and goose hunt or join Tommy, Ralph, and Tom for a morning round at the Ballard County Country Club;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. That this honorable body is proud to recognize Representative Charles R. Geveden upon the occasion of his 60th birthday, this 3rd day of March, 2000, and wishes him continued success with his future endeavors.

Section 2. That when the House of Representatives adjourns this day, March 3, 2000, it does so in honor of Representative Charles R. Geveden's sixtieth birthday.

Section 3. That the Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Representative Charles R. Geveden, P.O. Box 518, Wickliffe, Kentucky 42087.
