At Marble Hill:

1. Dream Yard THEATER Group: meets Wednesdays 2:30-4:30 p.m. in Room 834,, to produce and perform educational skits for younger audiences. Facilitator: Tim Lorde, DY Teaching Artist.

2. Dream Yard FILM-MAKING Group: meets Wednesdays 2:30-4:30 p.m. in Room 838, to produce and perform educational skits for younger audiences. Facilitator: Rob Sweren, DY Teaching Artist.

3. For Grade 12 students, by invitation or recommendation only: Marble Hill YEARBOOK meets twice a week to document the school year for our school community.

  1. Become a Program Assistant for the Extended Day Tutoring & Saturday Academy Tutoring programs. See Ms. Lowes about when you can serve to see if this site suits your own schedule.
  1. Join the Build On club. Regular Saturday community service events in the greater Bronx community. Meet regularly Wednesdays 1-1:30 p.m. to prepare for Saturday events. See Ms. Santoro, Mr. Pesola for information & meeting location.
  1. Become a Peer Tutor for other Marblehillians in need in specific subject areas. See Mr. Pesola for more information on applying and the Peer Tutoring schedule. Or, ask a teacher if they have students who may need your help in one of your strong subjects.

Tutoring/ Children’s Services:

1. East Harlem Tutoring Program-- Contact Melissa at (212) 831-0650. They need about 8 tutors.

2. Hartley House After-School Program: Contact Bethany for information/schedule and an application at (212) 246-9885, or via email, . They need about 6 teens to tutor and help younger kids, 3-6 p.m.; Wednesdays could work.
