Standard: LAFS 8.RI.1.1 (Cite textual evidence); LAFS 8.RI.1.3 (Analyze how a text makes connections among ideas or events). LAFS 8.RI.2.4 (Determine meanings of words and phrases); 8.RL.2.6 (Determine the author’s point of view); 8.L.3.4b (Use Greek or Latin affixes and roots); 8.L.3.6 (Acquire and use general academic and domain-specific words and phrases).

Daily Objective: Review missing assignments (hand out individual reports). Discuss “Immigrant Conclusions” (Powerpoint questions). Think/pair/share activities.

Agenda/Activities: Reading with Accountability (due 10/12/17). Complete missing assignments from 1st marking period.

Exit Ticket: Acknowledgement of missing assignment report.
