7th Grade Reading This week, we will continue reading The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare. This is a story of a young girl living in 17th century Connecticut in a strict Puritan community. We are focusing on main events in the story, characterization, and setting. As this novel is set in the 17th century, we are reviewing vocabulary before and during reading. Students should have begun working towards their 2nd quarter AR (Accelerated Reader) goals. Second quarter goals are the same as first quarter. Weekly reading logs for week-ending 10/31 are due on Monday 11/3. Thank you for your continued support.
