STAFF NURSE, EMERGENCY ROOM
Grey Nuns Community Hospital, Edmonton, Canada
Responsibilities: Provision of nursing care to child and adult individuals and their families with actual or potential life/limb threatening conditions in a 24-hour emergency department of a 249-bed, full service hospital. Clinical activities included the assessment and management of sudden changes in health status including multiple traumas.
STAFF NURSE, Burn Unit
University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, Canada
Responsibilities: Nursing care of adults and children with severe burn injuries, from acute burn injury to the recuperative stage, as well as care of patients with serious wounds from other illnesses and patients recovering from major head and neck surgery. This unit is the prairie province referral center for major burns.
