Engagement Contract

The undersigned agree to the following terms and conditions for the engagement herein described below:

A sound system adequate for the size of the room/outdoor area & number of guests is required including a hand-held microphone (preferably wireless or with enough cord to easily reach around and behind all volunteer chairs—a lapel mic or lavaliere mic will not work), main sound speakers, stage sound monitors and soundboard/mixer that Hypno Joe’s laptop can be plugged into for show music source. Portable house sound systems or ceiling/wall mount speakers (home entertainment systems, boom boxes, karaoke players, etc. will not work) may also be used with like requirements, although stage sound monitors may still be necessary if sound on stage is inadequate to do show. Hypno Joe’s laptop music and microphone volume must be able to be mixed separately in both sound mains and sound monitors. Hypno Joe’s laptop connection to board/mixer/house system must be in the same room/visual area as show. Type of connection and cabling to Hypno Joe’s laptop will depend on location of soundboard/mixer/house system laptop audio plug-in location in relation to stage. A person(s) must be provided to help with Hypno Joe’s laptop connection and sound check prior to show and to take cues and run sound (cue sheets provided) from Hypno Joe’s laptop during show. Indoor or outdoor, electricity must be provided to the location of Hypno Joe’s laptop along with stage lighting adequate to film performance. Armless folding or armless banquet style chairs (number to be determined by stage size and number of guests) with straight backs for use on stage are required. A person(s) must be provided to set up/break down chairs on stage and for audience seating. A minimum 4’x4’ table (or similar) is needed to place Hypno Joe’s laptop on. Allowing Hypno Joe to talk directly to the sound company/person well in advance of show date(s) will eliminate problems and is strongly recommended.

All shows will be video taped by, and become the sole property of Hypno Joe USA and may be used for, but not limited to, promotion purposes without consent. Hypno Joe and/or Hypno Joe USA cannot be held responsible for any use of pictures, audio and/or video taken by cameras, cell phones, tablets, recording devices by anyone not employed directly by Hypno Joe and/or Hypno Joe USA. Hypno Joe USA will be allowed to sell and/or announce for sale his show DVD’s, self-help hypnotherapy CD’s and Hypno Joe merchandise.

Buyer must provide a hotel room the night before the first performance through and including the night of the last performance.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date(s). In the event of cancellation of this agreement, Buyer will be responsible for 100% of contract value or may reschedule for a mutually agreed upon date with a potential 25% increase in price of original agreement.

Whether the performance is inside or outdoors, Hypno Joe will have the sole right and discretion to cancel the show(s) due to inclement weather and/or any unsafe conditions. In this event, Hypno Joe USA will receive 100% payment and all terms and conditions of the contract will be fulfilled by Buyer.
