Milford Hospice Harvest Fair: The Milford Hospice 28th Annual Harvest Fair is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 1st. The Harvest Fair is moving to a new location this year and is taking place at the U.L. Arena. The Harvest Fair Committee once again appeals for your support in donating goods such as clothes, books, toys, bric-a-brac. All goods this year will be checked for quality before being accepted in order to minimise the major costs involved with the disposal of unsalable items. Items for the Harvest Fair will be accepted on the grounds of Milford Care Centre from Monday, August 19th to Thursday, August 29th thereafter only confectionary will be accepted on the grounds of U.L. on the day of the Harvest Fair. For further details with regards to donating items to the Harvest Fair, please contact the Fundraising Office at 061-485860.

Cancer Survivorship 2013: The National Conference for Cancer Survivorship 2013 will take place on 20th and 21st September in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin and will be attended by approximately 700 cancer patients, survivors and family members. There is no charge for people to attend. Information on the conference can be found at www.cancer.ie/nccs.

G.A.A. News: Best of luck to the Monaleen U-10 Community Games Gaelic Football team who are travelling up to Athlone next Saturday (August 17th) to play the Connacht Champions Carrick-on-Shannon from Leitrim in the All-Ireland semi-final. If successful, they will play in the All-Ireland Final on the Sunday against either Kildare or Cavan. Best of luck to the four Monaleen players who are in the Limerick Minor Hurling Panel for the All-Ireland semi-final next Sunday August 18th against Galway.
