5. What mysterious item do you find in your lunch today and give a creative explanation for it.
6. Pretend you are a scuba diver in the Atlantic Ocean. You find a weird species (or world) down there. Describe it. (5-7 sentences)
7. Write a slogan for Zippy sneakers, the fastest shoes in the world.
Slogan: a short, catchy phrase that usually rhymes.
8. You walk out of your house during the day and the sky is pink instead of blue. List 3 creative reasons why?
9. Pretend you are a rat. Write a diary entry describing a day in your life.

10. Every time you turn on your reading lamp, a strange image flashes and then disappears. Write a creative explanation for this.

14. When you arrived home from school, you found a half-eaten chocolate cake on the front porch, the TV was on, and no one was home. Write a creative explanation what happened.
15. One minute you are sitting in the cafeteria with your friends and the next minute everyone but you vanish. Write 3 creative explanations for this.
16.A bulging paper bag is lying in your driveway. You have decided to take it to your room to see what is inside. No one else is at home. Open this bag and describe its contents and what happens.
17. You walk outside and see purple fluff on the ground. Write 3 creative and unique explanations for this sight.
18. Think of 3 creative excuses for getting mud on your mother’s new carpet. The excuses should also help keep you from getting in trouble.
19. Pretend you have been exploring a forest world of magical things. Describe your day and what you experienced. (4-5 sentences)

Make up a title for such a catalog, and invent two products that you think are crazy enough to include. Describe the items with such detail that few people could resist ordering at least one.
25. Make up a great cast or bandage story that will top any other that you have heard. (be creative and exaggeration is allowed) (5-7 sentences)
26. Draw and briefly describe your new invention for closing the hole in the ozone layer of the earth’s atmosphere.
27. You are walking down the sidewalk and you see a globe rolling down the middle of the road. Write 3 creative explanations for this sight.
28. You are an old toy that has not been played with. Write a diary entry about how you feel or about a day in your life. (5-7 sentences)
29. You are Student Council President and it is your job to promote school food. Write your sales pitch and a catchy slogan that will help you do this.
30. You are helping your mother empty her shopping bags. Your hand is inside one of the bags. Suddenly, you hear a voice coming from the inside of the bag. Explain what it is and write a conversation between you and the talking thing.
