The Cass River Greenway Committee is hosting the 6th Annual Cass River Clean-up Project. We will be spending the morning of Saturday July 26, 2014, cleaning up a five to seven mile section of the river between the Caro Dam and M-46. Volunteers are needed to walk along the river and collect all types of trash. Wear old clothes and boots; hip boots or waders. We suggest that you also bring mosquito repellent.

All volunteers should come to the MDOT Roadside Park on M-46 by 8:00 AM. Breakfast and event instructions will be provided onsite. A completed volunteer waiver is needed from every participant before the taking part in the event. The waiver is attached for your ease.

Cass River Greenway is an effort by a group of local volunteers, assisted by professional resources and municipal leaders, working to enhance recreational opportunities and the environmental wellbeing of the Cass River corridor. VOLUNTEER WAIVER FORM
I understand that a river and its surrounding banks are a dangerous place and are anticipated to contain fish, rocks, trash, and other potentially dangerous materials, which, if an accident occurred, could cause injury to me. I understand that I could lose my footing and fall, which could result in injuries to muscles, bones or other body parts and I could cut myself and become infected. I also understand that if tools or equipment are used they may, even if used properly, cause injury. I understand that there are many other more serious injuries that cannot be anticipated that I could suffer while I am volunteering for the 6th Annual Cass River Clean-Up. It is my intent to waive any cause of action due to any injury I may sustain while volunteering for the 6th Annual Cass River Clean-Up, Tuscola Conservation District, its organizers (other participating organizations, et al.), or any owners of land adjacent to the river and others assisting with the clean-up. I hereby release them from all liability to me.
I certify that I am at least 18 years of age or have had this document signed by my parent or guardian. By signing below, I also agree to allow Cass River Greenways Committee, the Tuscola Conservation District to use my image, name and comments for publicity and promotional uses including newspaper articles.
