Research Activities:
· Conduct research in the field of Glycemic Index to introduce local GI table for Bangladesh.
· Working as a Team Leader: Overall supervision of the Biological Team of the Project entitled “Improving Nutrition in Bangladeshi Population-From Research to Practice” funded by jointly World Diabetes Foundation and BIRDEM.
· Supervising and guiding post-graduate students in performing their thesis and dissertation.

Ø Determination of the Glycemic index of three common varieties of Bangladeshi rice (Br-14, Br-29 & Br-44) in healthy subjects
Ø Determination of Glycemic, Insulinimic and Nonesterified Fatty Acid Indices of some common fruits and vegetables (papaya, pumpkin, carrot, ladies finger, pointed gourd, potato, banana, mango, jackfruit etc) in Bangladesh
Ø Determination of Glycemic, Insulinimic and Nonesterified Fatty Acid Indices of some common snacks (plain cake, salt biscuit, noodles etc.) in Bangladesh
Ø Determination of Glycemic, Insulinimic and Nonesterified Fatty Acid Indices of different cereal products in Bangladesh
Ø Effect of low-calorie ice-cream on glycemic status and cardiovascular risk factor in type 2 diabetic subjects
