6 things you need to have prepared for Christmas Eve

So Christmas Eve is just a few days away and the excitement has begun but are you prepared?

We think Christmas Eve is just as fun and joyful as the 25th because you can sit back, relax and wait for the big fella in the red suit to come down the chimney.

Whether you’ll be with your family, the little ones or your other half, you need to make sure you’ve got everything on our checklist for the night before Christmas.

1)New Pyjamas

There’s no better feeling than having a nice hot bath, washing your hair and getting into some new, fresh pyjamas on Christmas Eve. Whether you prefer fluffy, warm pyjamas or a Christmas onesie, snuggling up on the couch in either is one of the best things about the festive season! (Top Tip: Adding a bottle of wine with make you feel even more festive!)

2)Bottle of wine

Whether you like white, red or rose, a cheeky tipple on Christmas Eve is a Must! You’ve worked hard all year trying to stay on Santa’s nice list and slaved all night pealing the roasties for tomorrow’s Christmas Dinner so a little glass, or a few, won’t go a miss!

3)Chocolates

Why not get the party started early and crack open that box of chocolates, you’ve been waiting for months to eat! Grab your favourites from the tin of Quality Street or take all of the Dairy Milksfrom the box of Heroes, before your Sister robs them all tomorrow. At the end of the day, what’s a good Christmas film without some munchies?

4)Christmas film

So watching Christmas films is probably one of the best things about the holidays and not just Christmas Eve! Cuddling up on the couch with the Christmas tree on, the lights twinkling away and watching your favourite festive film is when you know that the big day is nearly here! Whether it Elf or Frozen you’ll be watching, be sure to have your singing voice in tact because it wouldn’t be Christmas without a good old sing – song.

5)Company

Christmas is definitely the most wonderful time of the year! Whether you’re spending it with family, friends or your other half, it’s the perfect time to laugh, smile and make memories that will last a life time. Cuddling up on the couch watching Christmas films, playing games or just having a general chit – chat with the people you love is an amazing feeling on Christmas Eve and remember to spread the Christmas spirit and share your chocolates with your Dad! After all, you only have to do it once a year!

6)Treats for Santa

Whether you’re getting your little ones excited or still believe in the big man yourself, remember to leave milk, cookies and carrots for the reindeer on Christmas Eve! Nothing beats that magical feeling when you come down the stairs on Christmas morning and the glass is empty and the cookies are gone. Relive that magical moment with your kids, family or other half because you never know, anything can happen at Christmas!
