5th6th Grade Spring Concert Notice!!!
Dear 5th6th Grade orchestra students and parents/guardians,
The5th6th Grade Orchestra Spring Concert will be held on Monday, May 9that 7:00 PM on the stage at Haine Middle School. Report time for the concertis between 6:00 pm and 6:10 pm. We will begin tuning and warming up promptly at 6:15 pm. A concert is a formal event, and we ask that all students dress accordingly. All students are to wear “black on the bottom and white on the top”. Shirts should be solid white, and pants/long skirts should be solid black. No student is permitted to wear tennis shoes, jeans of any type, workout clothes or shirts with lettering or numbering. Black dress shoes should be worn by all performing students. Please NO flip-flops or Ugg boots! If there are monetary concerns about the dress code, please contact Mrs.Hasara ASAP!
The 5th Grade SCHOOL CONCERT is on Thursday, May 5th at 1:45 pm. Students should be in the orchestra room at 1:15 pm to warm up and tune. School concert dress code is some type of SV or plain blue, black, grey, or white t-shirt, tennis shoes, and jeans of some type.
The 6thGrade SCHOOL CONCERTis on Wednesday, May 11th at 9:00 am. Please have your student to school between 8:00 and 8:10 am (if possible). We need to warm up and tune and there isn’t enough time if everyone rides the busses and gets here at 8:40 am. School concert dress code is some type of SV or plain blue, black, grey, or white t-shirt, tennis shoes, and jeans of some type.
As we prepare for the concert, I ask that parents please continue to enforce the importance of home practice. The songs that the students should be preparing for the concert are listed below, with links to listen to the recordings. Please do not hesitate to ask for ideas on ways that you can help your child practice! You can also look at my website for additional practice tips, schedules, resources, etc. (
