58 Squadron Order of Dress

This chart will provide direction as to which uniform is to be worn on the upcoming parade night. The date and uniform code will be posted at the top of the announcements page

C1 / Full Dress Uniform with medals used on ceremonial civic parades, CO’s Parades and as otherwise instructed
C2 / Full Dress Uniform without medals, used for regular Tuesday evenings and as otherwise instructed
C3 / Summer Dress is uniform minus Jacket and Tie
C4 / Work Dress is T-Shirt, Pants, Belt, Wedge Cap, Boots and Socks
58a / Same as work dress except use Sqn T-Shirt with emblem
Parka / Parka to be worn in inclimate weather and as otherwise instructed
58s / Sports Uniform- shorts/track pants, t-shirt (No improper markings)
Mess Dress / Full uniform without medals replacing cadet shirt and tie with white shirt and black bow tie and no wedge if you have it. Otherwise full dress uniform, or with black pants, white shirt and black bow tie if you have it

Power Familiarization Flights Schedule

Make sure you eat before you come. Snacks will be provided but you will not be fed a meal.

If for any reason you can not make the date selected you must contact Mr Heyman at as soon as possible before your flying date.

The following cadets have been selected to go flying on Thursday November 9. They should arrive at The Kingston Flying Club located at 1040 Len Birchall Way ( Kingston Airport) by 1400 hrs. Civilian clothing and a jacket is recommended. You will be done approx. 1700 hrs

The following cadets have been selected to go flying on the dates listed on the chart below. They should arrive at The Kingston Flying Club located at 1040 Len Birchall Way ( Kingston Airport15 minutes before their scheduled flight time. Civilian clothing and a jacket is recommended. Depending on the number of cadets in the next time slot you may be selected to remain for another flight if you wish.

Please note that our Squadron staff and Officers are not full time employees of DND and or the Canadian Cadet Organization. As such while the Squadron e-mail is checked regularly, it is not monitored 24/7. Your e-mails are important to the Command Team and someone will reply to your e-mail within 48 hours.

The following cadets have not turned in their Annual Verification Forms to Admin.

SQUADRON UPCOMING EXERCISES

Tuesday 31 October– NO TRAINING AS CADETS WILL BE CANCELLED – HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN.

Our next parade night will beTuesday 7 Novemberand will be a CO’s parade. As this is will be a special Remembrance Day Parade for the Squadron, we invite parents to stay for the opening parade and take part in the 1 minute of silence that will be observed. We are also honored to have two special guests – both veterans – for our parade

Who: Cadets who have signed up and were advised by Lt Parkinson as to their team assignments

Time: Staff to Arrive for07:30OGroup Cadets to Arrive for08:00Registration – Events will be completed for16:30with clear out of Thompson Drill Hall no later than16:45. Parents are asked to arrive for16:30if possible

Location: Thompson Drill Hall

Lunch: Provided – Fruit for snack will also be provided.

Water: Provided

Dress: Cadets - Appropriate Civilian Attire/Sports Gear also outdoor gear based on weather as one activity will be outside

KINGSTON FRONTENACS MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT

Once again this year the Kingston Family Resource Centre is offering 10 tickets to the Kingston Frontenac’s Hockey Game on November 10. Cadets attending will be in full dress uniform. If you are interested in going to the game email Mr. Heyman at stating your name and rank. The sign up sheet and permission forms will be available Tuesday

HALLOWEN DANCE

Saturday Oct 28, 2017 1900-2300 hrs. 416 Wing Clubrooms

Theme – Haunted Hollywood – Come dressed as your favorite dead celebrity or celebrity if they were dead

Cost – a non-perishable donation to the food bank

Prizes for Best Costume and more

Dance Committee to be there at 1800 to decorate

416 WING CHARTER NIGHT DINNER

Nov 4 2017, 416 Wing 1800-2100 hrs

Those cadets who have signed up to serve the members of the wing should arrive at the wing by 1800 hrs.

Dress of the day is Mess Dress. You will be fed during the different meal courses.

This will count as volunteer hrs for both school and cadets

Think you are a good shot? Come try out for the range team.Training will be Wednesday evenings starting in October and competition in the spring.Everyone is welcome and training is provided. Let me know of your interest by sending an email to the squadron.
