Mr & Mrs Earl Beaushaw of Newton announce the marriage of their daughter, Linda Lou, to Donald Raymond Jamison, son of Mr & Mrs Earl Jamison, Delphos. They were married Monday, May 8th, at Minneapolis by Probate judge Henry. They are living in Delphos. Don is employed by the Ottawa County Highway Dept.
Kathryn Gawith, bride elect of Robert Paige, Delphos, was honored with a shower Saturday evening at the Methodist church basement. Hostesses were the mothers of her classmates, 48 guests were present.
HDU tea was held at the Legion Building and 45 guests attended, the ladies of the golden years. Members of the North Ottawa Unit are Mrs L A Willars, Mrs E R Colton, Mrs Howard Fleshman, Mrs Louis Ballou, Mrs C A McHenry, Mrs Lenora Hally, Mrs Nell Haley, Mrs Frances Kline, Mrs Everett McKain, and Mrs B A Bourne. The entertainment was provided by Cora Chancy, a guest, who played a mouth harp as a surprise to almost every one; Mrs Duane Ranney, who played the marimbas accompanied on the piano by Mrs Carl Stenger; Mrs Stenger, accompanied on the piano by Mrs John Nace, sang two selections; Mrs C E Waylan, recited a poem. After lunch and visiting, and the ladies were leaving, Mrs Chancy played "Home Sweet Home" on the mouth harp.
Miss Lillian Carrigan, a former resident of Delphos, passed away Saturday, May 13th, at Los Angeles, California. …..info omitted…..Graveside services were held at Delphos cemetery.
