3rdGrade Christmas Program
Hello! My name is Miss Ramey. I am so excited to be teaching music to the students of Burris & Hatfield Elementary. I absolutely love seeing students show their talents on stage and how their confidence increases. I want students to experience the music completely. Every student is expected to participate in their grade level performance.
This year the theme for our Christmas show is A Magical Christmas. The concert will be on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at 6:00p.m. in the Burris Gymnasium. Save the date! Students should meet in their classroom at 5:40p.m. Keep that night clear if at all possible. Everyone is invited.
We have learned most of our songs already during class. To help students practice, I have a website rameytmusic.comwhere students can practice the songs with words and without. This will help students memorize the songs. If you have internet, please encourage your child to try the website. For those that don’t have internet, I provide students with a practice CD. This CD can be played in a CD player or a DVD player. Any student that practices during the week and gets their assignment notebook signed that they practiced will receive a coupon in class.
Students will get a grade for participating in the show, during the school day. They will receive bonus points for the evening performance. This is where they get to show off everything they have been learning in the classroom. If a student is unable to attend at least one of the performances, they will have to record themselves performing the songs on their Chromebook, using Screencastify. This is due no later than Friday, December 15.
The suggested outfit this year is to wear your favorite Christmas sweater crazy or fancy. I don’t expect anyone to go out and buy anything so whatever Christmas outfit you decide on will be fine. Have fun with it.
Parents if you would like to help decorate for the concert the dates are Monday, December 11, Tuesday, December 12 & Wednesday, December 13, from 3:30-5:30p.m. Any help is appreciated, even if it is one hour on one day.

is scheduled for Thursday, December 14at 6:00p.m.Also, that he/she is to be in the hallway by their classroom, at 5:40p.m. to line-up the night of the show. (If your child will not have a ride, due to you having to work, please check with their classmates parents. I am sure there are people willing to carpool. Some children are very upset when they do not get to perform and are not in the DVD. We will only be recording the evening performance, unless I have a volunteer to record the day performance also. )
